Aquesta setmana us portem una cançó de l’any 2017 anomenada “Star shopping” de Lil Peep. Va estar bastant de moda quan va sortir.

Lil Peep va ser un cantant molt conegut per ser també raper, compositor i model. El seus estils musicals van ser rap emo, rap punk, pop punk, rock alternativo, hip hop i trap.

El seu nom real és Gustav Elijah Ahr, va néixer a Allentown (Pensilvania, Estats Units) l’1 de novembre de 1996 i va morir a Tucson (Arizona, Estats Units) el 15 de novembre de 2017 amb 21 anys, per causa d’una sobredosis. Es va fer molt conegut per tenir un fort estil emocional en les seves melodies.

Gustav va mostrar interès per la música i la moda des de la seva adolescència. En les seves lletres i xarxes socials mostrava el seu interès per la cocaína, l’èxtasis y l’Alprazolam, es considerava ell mateix un addicte i aconsellava als seus seguidors evitar el consum de drogues. 

Va publicar tretze albums i “EPs”, un d’aquests va ser “Come Over When You’re Sober”. L’àlbum va ser recolzat per quatre senzills: “Benz Truck”, “The Brightside”, “Awful Things” i “Save That Shit”. Lil Peep va morir exactament tres mesos després del llançament de l’àlbum. Després de la seva mort l’àlbum va arribar al seu punt màxim en el número 38 en el “Billboard 200 EE.UU”. Va publicar la segona part d’aquest àlbum al 2018 “Come Over When You’re Sober Pt. 2”.

“Star shooping” és un single, és una de les balades favorites dels seus fans i segur que es convertirà també en una de les preferides dels que la coneguin ara. La mare de Peep és la que va presentar el single: “Gus va compondre la lletra de ‘Star Shopping’ al telèfon, en la seva aplicació Notes, el 16 d’agost de 2015, just després d’un viatge a Cambridge per l’aniversari del seu avi. La cançó no es va carregar a SoundCloud fins a desembre d’aquest any. Aquesta va ser la gran cançó de Gus, ja que va obtenir moltes vistes i va agradar immediatament: 20 mil en 24 hores i més de cent mil en una setmana. Estava molt emocionat per això.”
