Avui a la secció de Musipèdia ens endinsem en el món de Taylor Swift amb la cançó “Should I’ve Said No” (en Català “Hauria d’haver dit no”). Aquesta cançó té una preciosa entonació per part de la Taylor i ens ajuda a entendre el seu propi punt de vista de la relació que va tenir amb un antic amant, el qual la va enganyar. M’agrada perquè ella ens explica repetides vegades en entrevistes que normalment introdueix a les cançons frases que deia mentre discutia amb ell i que utilitzava aquest tipus de lletres sobretot per desfogar-se i treure de dins tot el que es va quedar per dir-li.

Aquesta és una cançó de ritme ràpid que va escriure quan només tenia setze anys. Ella la va escriure perquè “una cosa realment, realment dramàtica i boja” li estava succeint, i necessitava “tractar-la en forma de música”.

La primera línia que va venir-hi va ser el títol i a continuació ella va escriure la tornada en sols cinc minuts. Swift va comparar la cançó amb el seu senzill anterior “Picture To Burn”, tot i que no és exactament el mateix. Mentre que “Picture to Burn” té una actitud més angoixada, ja que just havia trencat amb ell, “Should’ve Said No” és més una declaració moral. Com podreu observar a continuació és un “T’estimo, vam ser increïbles i genials junts, però ho vas arruïnar tot”.

La cançó va ser una addició d’últim minut ja que Taylor Swift la va escriure dos dies abans que es programés la masterització i els fulletons estaven a punt d’imprimir-se. Després va trucar al seu productor i va completar la cançó de la nit al dia, perquè tots poguéssim gaudir d’aquests fragments.
